Vodka isn’t just for drinking, here are some great uses for around your home.

  1. Keep insects off your houseplants by dabbing the leaves with a cotton wool ball soaked in vodka.
  2. Shine chrome, glass and porcelain bathroom fixtures, using a soft clean cloth with some vodka and buffing to a shine, you will love the results.
  3. Remove hairspray from mirrors, by wiping over with a cloth and some vodka.
  4. Clean crystal and porcelain ornaments.
  5. Clean the sealant around  your bath and shower by filling a spray bottle with vodka, then spraying the sealant and waiting 5 minutes, then wash clean. The alcohol in the vodka kills mould and mildew.
  6. Clean a chandelier insitu. Spray the lighting with a solution of four teaspoons of vodka to one pint of water, you will love the results and it’s so easy.
  7. To remove stubborn stains from almost anything, rub the stain with a clean cloth soaked in vodka and rinse well.
  8. Clean jewellery and cutlery by soaking the items in vodka for five minutes, rinse and dry.
  9. Remove the glue left behind by stickers and labels by rubbing with a cloth soaked in vodka….quick and easy!
  10. All those wasp haters, Vodka is great for killing them.
  11. To get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke, mix one part vodka to three parts water, spray and let dry.
  12. Clean tiles in the bathroom by spraying with vodka. Leave for 5 minutes and rinse. Fantastic for getting rid of yukky soap scum.
